S – STOP ELECTRICAL FIRES
Avoid overloading electrical outlets through “octopus connections”; overheating by unplugging electrical appliances and equipment after using or not in use; and short-circuit by correcting damaged electrical installations or sub-standard wirings.
T – TAKE TIME TO INSPECT REGULARLY
Inspect regularly the kitchen area by checking our liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) parts always in good and in safe condition and cooking stove properly disposed of embers or heat after cooking especially before going to sleep
O – OBSERVE PROPER STORAGE OR FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS AND COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS
Keep gasoline and other highly combustible materials, flammable liquids away from catching fires especially storing them within our kitchen area where fire is always present during cooking.
P – PLACE OUR HOUSEHOLDS AND WORKPLACES ALWAYS IN ORDER
Practice good housekeeping, storing matches, lighters, lighted candles away from children. Place lighted candles safely away from anything its flame could catch fire. Discard and dispose cigarette butts properly. Plan our escape in case of fire and keep our fire exits unobstructed at all times. Keep our fire extinguishers always available and in good condition.
